Headed for the playoffs!

Who would of thought the Cardinals and the Falcons would be in the postseason. After Atlanta's falling apart in every way a team could last year,posting a 11-5 record this year heading into Arizona to face a 9-7 Cardinal team! The Falcons have a rookie quarterback that is having a great year putting up 209 yards per game with a 86.72 passer rating.The Falcons average 152 yards on the ground behind Micheal Turner and Jerious Norwood,making up the 6th ranked offense over all against the 18th ranked Cardinals defense that gives up 110 yards per game on the ground and 221 through the air.On the other side of the coin we have the Cardinals with pro bowlers Warner,Fitzgerald,and Boldin that are 4th in total offenses putting up 366 yards per game.Having 3 receivers over 1,000 yard this season and Edgerin James looking like the old edge might be dangerous against a 24th ranked defense that gives up 347 yard per game.

NFC Playoffs

With three teams clinching divisions,the Cardinals(NFC west),Giants(NFC east),and the Titans(AFC south)the feeling of the postseason is upon us.With the expectations of the NFC east producing 3 playoff teams they will be lucky if they produce 2. With the way that the Redskins are dumping every opportunity they have to clinch a playoff birth losing 5 out of their last 6 games,and Dallas who seems to not want a playoff spot at all,paves the way for the Eagles who are playing the best football all season.Don't count out the Atlanta Falcons who are tied with the Cowboys for the last playoff spot with an 8-5 record.3 teams out of the NFC South instead of the East,wouldn't that be something!The Cowboys having the toughest remaining schedule with the Giants,Ravens,and the Eagles their playoff hopes are becoming dimmer.Meanwhile the Redskins with a 7-6 record has the easiest remaining schedule having Bengals,Eagles,and the 49ers.The Falcons have the,Bucs,the Vikings, and the Rams to close out the season.It will be a dogfight with the other 7-6 teams,Saints and the Bears but don't be surprised if the Eagles win out and overtake everyone and be playoff bound.How important would that tie be then? WAY TO GO CARDINALS!!!!

So what did Plexico Burress not learn from all the other pro football players who take guns to night clubs?Nothing! "Its all about protecting yourself","look what happen to Shaun Taylor"if you ask a lot of NFL players.What do you think bodyguards are for!!The NFL pays for security for the players so why not use them.Haven't players learned from Tank Johnson,Pacman Jones,and Derrent Williams,who was shot to death outside of a night club!!just to name a few.What are you thinking Plexico?, I mean giving a fake name to the hospital,having a gun that is not even registered to you, come on Plex,you tyring to earn a one way ticket to hang with Michael Vick? What did you have a unlicensed gun in your possesion out side of a night club for anyway? Where you looking to use it on somebody but did not want it to be traced back to you? Take a lesson from Ray Caruth,ex-Panther receiver,he hired someone to shoot his pregnant girlfriend and still got caught.You are a pro ball player,your life is constantly under the microscope of the media!You have a better chance of getting caught doing something wrong more so than the average joe blow who does the same thing! All I am saying is that Plexico is a great football player but a idiot as a person. I wish you the best through out your endeavor and I hope to see you back on the field in the future. Same old cardinals?

I don't know about anybody else but being an Arizona Cardinals fan is a tough pill to swallow.Even though the cardinals are leading their division by a ways a needing only one win in the remaining four games to clinch, it still makes me wonder...is this the same old Cardinals that I have been a fan of for the last thirty-five years?The

Cardinals seem to have a hard time finishing games let alone a season! The best record the Cardinals have had since 1998 (their last playoff win and apperiance) was last season at 8-8. As a matter of fact the Cardinals have not won a division crown in 33 years and have not made the playoffs in 10,not to mention they have only 2 playoff wins since the super bowl was introduced and only have played in a total of nine playoff games total(2-7)!!Even though they have had their issues the last 2 games a close one with theNFC leading Giants and a pounding in Philly,its hard to believe that with all of the talent on offense with Boldin,Fitzgerald,Breaston, and even Jeremy Urban is catching the ball like there is no tomorrow,not too mention Kurt Warner ,a superbowl mvp that has passed for over 300 yards in almost half of his games in his career to throw them the ball,there should be no reason they can't go deep into the playoffs.One thing is for sure they need to get better at establishing the run.It is hard to believe the Cardinals are 30th in the run when they have the edge and up and comming rookie Tim Hightower,o yeah!! I forgot James is on the bench!!!Come on Cardinals there is no reason a soon to be hall of fame running back should be on the bench. They should have a good one two punch with James and Hightower being the fact that Ken Weisenhunt was the offensive coordinater for the run happy Steelers. I am not saying that they should be a run team by any means but I think if they establish a run game there would be no stopping that offemse.As far as the defense goes they are fast,agressive and young,but also inconsistant. I think they have all the tools to be a great defense minus a vetern to the likings of a Zach Thomas or a Jason Taylor, somebody that knows how to play the game and whos knowledge can help mature that young defense. With players like Antral Rolle,Adrian Wilson,Karlos Dansby,and rookie Dominqe Rodgers Cramartie before too long that defense will be a force in the NFL. With a up and comming defense,and Matt Leinart waiting in the wings to take over that talented offense from Warner,the Cardinals are on the verge of being one of the eliete teams in the NFL As always t hanks for listening!
